Making Learning a Part of Life in the Digital Age

The digital revolution has brought about the replacement of a number of our traditional methods of working and learning. This is happening both in and within the classroom. It is clear that a new way of learning is needed to be developed. What can be done to achieve this? The answer is that it will require not only the creation of digital infrastructures to facilitate learning but also answering the fundamental question of what learning and education going to be in the near future.

This article discusses how to make learning a part of everyday life in the digital age, drawing inspiration from researchers and teachers all over the world. The article is targeted towards learners (including parents and students), educators, curriculum designers as well as technology experts researchers in learning sciences, and policymakers.

There are a variety of opinions about what learning in the digital age should be, there is an overall consensus that we need to encourage the co-evolution of learning and communication technologies of the future.
